I was raised in a small town in California called Norwalk. Norwalk was part of Los Angeles county so there are a lot of graffiti artists in my area and it was actually quite amazing. Those people were artists due to the fact that they would paint portraits on walls with ease. I started drawing small pictures all over my worksheets and my drawings were similar to the graffiti I've seen on walls. My teachers started to complement my work because of all the detail I would put in such a simple drawing. However, although I was a good artist, I was scared of joining an art class because I thought I wasn't good enough. I was very shy about my art until I entered high school and now I'm an AP artist. I've participated in VASE twice and I got medals both years. I also entered in the Dallas Dart context and I got honorable mentions. My art was even showcased in the Dallas Art museum next to many young artists like myself. Art has always been such a big part of my life and I never plan on stopping.
